As for comments–please make them. That’s the point here–dialogue! As for how I moderate our comments, the goal of this blog is to create civil discussion. Comments will be posted when they contribute by adding information, opinions and ideas. I also welcome negative or contrary opinions as long as they are civil. Comments that are not civil will be rejected or deleted (subject to the flaming, profane and personal attack definitions below).
Specifically, deletion of comments will take place if they meet any of the following definitions:
flaming – hostile or deliberately insulting messages
profane – use your common sense here. No swear words.
personal attacks – messages directed toward a specific individual that are derogatory, profane or offensive (differences of opinion with individuals are acceptable if they are not personal attacks–agree to disagree agreeably is the ideal here)
As I don’t always have time to do everything that needs to be done in a day (this is after all a volunteer effort), I can’t guarantee I will always be able to reply to questions about why I moderated a particular comment.
